This attractive hotel in Stevenage boasts stylish decor that perfectly complements the character still in evidence from its former times. Nestled in the heart of the old town, it’s the perfect home away from home for both business and leisure travelers. The hotel is conveniently located close to the A1. London’s Kings Cross Station is only a 27-minute train ride away from Stevenage Station, which is just 1 mile from the hotel.
Our British Brasserie 'Rump and Wade' opened in April 2017 and serves fresh, home cooked dishes from locally sourced ingredients.
We cook good, honest, flavourful food that is British at its heart. There may occasionally be influences from other modern European cooking styles but we will seek to source British produce and prepare the dish in a British style where possible. We love taking advantage of rarer cuts of meat & cooking them low and slow in just the right way to enrich the meats with flavour.
We pride ourselves in offering seasonal dishes that are locally sourced where possible and work closely with Stickleback fish suppliers in Welham Green to ensure we have the pick of the market as soon as the boats come in. We home smoke our own salmon and we source our pork from Dingley Dell farm which has a superb reputation for producing the highest quality meat.
